Just got back from the stadium meeting. The feasibility firms there have done reports on hundreds of new stadiums and 50+ football stadiums.

CSU can expect a MINIMUM of $13million in extra revenue each year due to the stadium and a max of $22million. This comes from naming rights of the stadium, loge boxes, box seats, club seats that aren't at Hughes. An attendance of 37,800. Sounds like sustainable revenue.

They expect the fundraising to be at $212-490million. So yeah, $212million minimum.

    Owned. Told you so

The fundraising won't be all donations it doesn't sound like, so you will have to borrow against future revenue streams. Thanks for coming back and providing some actual detail. You've owned no one. The risk is still quite huge.

You guys borrow against future revenue. Build a $250MM stadium. Don't win. Attendance doesn't reach 37k a game, and then you're up **** creek without a paddle.

Why are you seeking validation from CU fans? If CSU can do it go for it. We have mentioned multiple times with the **** contact that CU and CSU are involved it, it is better for CSU to be better. We just doubt that CSU will succeed.

LMFOA, dude, where are you planning to get 37,800 people willing to pay to watch CSU get beat by no name teams like they play in the MWC?

Sounds like sustainable revenue and as an added bonus they all get to watch the pigs flying over.

Seriously? Are you eleven? I've been reading the RMS thread and most of the Allbuff posters have been reasonable, and you're kind of a little bitch. Really? Owned?

Go ask Dick Tharp about his projections for improved stadium seating and get back to me on how expected revenue translates to results.

Is 37,000 really a reasonable prediction? If so, how? Color me skeptical on your team's financial projections.

No one said CSU was going to go bankrupt. In fact, it was made pretty clear in the other thread. So stop using stupid hyperbole and attributing it to this board.

BTW, rosy projections do not equal sure thing. Even the most diehard CSU fans have to admit a projection of 37,800 average is optimistic. We shall see on the club seats and luxury boxes as well. Even the Broncos have trouble with filling club seats.

I am happy you are optimistic about the new stadium, but next time try to actually counter points made in the thread and stop with the silly "lolz, you guys think we are going bankrupt!!!!1111" bull****.

38k attendance? So your attendance is magically going to double based on what? CU averages about 50k playing Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas, USC, Oregon, Washington and so on. CSU averages 22k playing Utah, BYU, San Diego State, Boise State...oh wait. Let me try that again: Utah State, San Jose State, Hawaii, and Fresno State. Yep that is a recipe for success. Magic attendance here we come!

So you build a stadium, the 13MM in revenue still has to come from the existing fanbase, and a couple of hundred grand for naming rights per year. Ticket prices would have to reflect that. Your 13mm/6 (home games)/37,000 = $58.55 game ticket increase average. Say naming rights and Lady Gaga concerts bring in 3MM/year that leaves 10MM/year from the fans. Same breakout from above still leaves a $45per ticket average increase per game. Is that going to bring the new fans through the gates?

You honestly think some company is going to drop a huge pile of cash for naming rights on a stadium that nobody attends?

How is your attendance going to climb to 37,000 per game? I would understand this if you even had 30,000 going to games now. You guys average under 20k now and don't even sell out when you had top teams like Cal come into town. You don't even sell 25k in tickets to the showdown. Last year you were hoping for a good walk-up crowd to cover the 18k in tix the AD committed to. You honestly think that a new stadium is going to increase attendance by 60%-70%

This entire boondoggle continues to hinge on getting into a big conference. Over the past year, CSU conference has gotten considerably worse.

If you get some sort of donation or donations that gets you near $200MM, and you onl have to finance $50MM, then maybe it is all gravy and congratulations for you..... but if you only get $100MM - $120MM in donations, and the rest is financed.... well, I would be pretty concerned at the sustainability there.

As I said in my post above - if you guys secure $200MM in donations, then more power to you. However, being at the meeting, I thought you would have taken note that they said they would be financing some portion of it.

Love the stats and projections that a sales team hurls at ya. Believe me, the guys selling you this vision have an agenda. It is revenue for them and they could give a **** if it if CSewe gets theirs. They will not be around to help you dig out of the **** pile if you do not start winning. You will not hit or even come close to 37K in attendance if you do not start winning. You will not sell 20 year deals on boxes if you do not start winning. Club seats will go unsold. On an on. If coach sparkles does not win in the next two years while you are building your unicorn pen of a stadium, it will be a major disaster. You will be left with an empty on campus version of Hughes, a coach you cannot afford to buy out, a pile of debt you cannot repay and the few boosters you do have will have gone elsewhere with their dollars.

Either way, I think you are ****ed. You will not be winnig in the next two years. Your team is going to suck this year and recruiting has been in the crapper. It is a long term project at a decent football school (which CSewe is not) and you will not have the time based on where your saviour JG is taking you.

Good luck and we will kick your ass this year! See you in September.

Attendance projections are 65-70% higher than you guys have averaged the past 5 years? Good luck with that, Pollyanna.

And just as an example of financing.... our $250MM improvement project is expected to be financed against our Pac-12 TV revenue..... which is $30MM a year. Your $250MM stadium will most likely be financed against some theoretical $13MM in revenue. You are going to have to get some monster donations to put down to help cover that difference. Which maybe you have lined up - so congratulations.

I didn't do the feasibility report. I'll leave that to the experts who have done it one hundreds of stadiums and dozens of college stadiums.

The minimum range they had for naming rights was $12 million. North Texas just got $20million and that stadium is garbage. That doesn't even include the other naming rights of things like the Alumni Center, concourses etc

    $12MM is a one-time payout?

Does anyone remember what the rumored offer was from Frontier for getting naming rights to Folsom?

You guys mad I'm reporting what the expert feasibility firm is reporting? I'm not making these stats up. If you have beef with the stats then ask them, but I atleast posted the minimums that they reported

Those aren't one time payouts. 5-10 year payouts probably.

No, I was annoyed that you thought you'd "owned" Allbuffs somehow. Or embarrassed for you--I'm not quite sure which.

North Texas = Hics who give a **** about football Ft.Collins = Front Range Colorado fans who at best have divided loyalties and in the case of CSewe could care less outside of watching through September 2nd around 1pm when their season is over and other interests like refining weed strains and fermenting sheep eggs. Good luck with that. 12MM? Over a 50 year contract right?
