BOULDER, Colo. — University of Colorado Senior Alex Kizirian is one the Buffs best throwers and will represent the Buffs in the weight throw at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships this month. He is also a dedicated grandson. Instead of soaking in college life in Boulder, Kizirian chose to spend his entire college career living with his grandmother in Thornton.

It’s an atypical lifestyle that allowed Kizirian to focus on the being the best. Kami Carmann explains how his 79-year-old roommate has helped him become a national contender.
