After six years as the utility infielder of the Colorado athletic department, assistant athletic director Charles Johnson is leaving his post to work with one of the department's most vital partners while he mulls a political career.

When I read the headline and clicked the link, I was thinking "I really hope CJ isn't going to start preaching a bunch of partisan stuff that will make me like him less".

But I went ahead and read it... and...

Oh hell yeah!

If CJ does decide to run for the open seat on the CU Board of Regents, I'll volunteer to help with the campaign. I'd love to have his voice on that board.
 
I can count the number of times I have voted for a Democrat on one hand.

If CJ runs, I guess I will have to start counting on my other hand.
 
A true advocate for athletics on the board - I'd vote for that!

Now we need Klatt to run opposite him so they can argue their positions in a public forum. Wait...
