CU Buffs preparing for air attack

Need to constantly rush Lobbestael and force some mistakes -- need to win the turnover battle. We've got to find a way to establish the ground game. It's going to be iffy if we have to rely on Hansen to beat them through the air with no ground threat. I'm expecting P-Rich to step up this week, and hopefully we continue to find Deehan with some success as well. We'll have to wait and see how the special teams changes play out as well. I'm sure it won't be pretty, but there's no way they could possibly be as bad as they were last week. (Maybe cut the rugby bull**** out, or at least tone it down drastically?)

Have to start strong in this one. Even with this brutal 5 game stretch looming, Embree is right that the start of conference play should signal a new start of sorts for this team. We're playing at home against a team that's had an even more brutal last few years of losing than we have. They don't know how to win, either. There will be absolutely no excuse if Wazzu comes out and punches us in the mouth, it's time for the Buffs to go out and take a 7-0 lead for once, and then make it 14-0 and not look back.

CSU was the first baby step in learning how to win with that 10 minute drive in the 4th to seal the deal. OSU reminded us there's obviously a long, long way to go in changing the mindset of the program, but this one needs to be step 2. This is a Wazzu team that will have beaten a few teams they shouldn't have when all is set and done, likely because they were overlooked. We sure as hell can't afford to do that, and everybody knows it. This is a 'must-win' early in the Embree era.
