THE GAME: The University of Colorado will travel north to face the University of Wyoming on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. at the Arena-Auditorium in Laramie.

BROADCAST:
Wednesday's game will air live on KKZN AM 760. Mike Rice will handle play-by-play duties and will be joined by Carol Callan of USA Basketball with the color commentary. A free live video stream of Wednesday's game is scheduled to be available through the Mountain West Network and can be accessed through http://www.gowyo.com/videos.

OPENING TIP:
Colorado is shooting 52.8 percent (93-of-176) over its last three games. The Buffaloes have shot 50 percent or better in each of their last three outings, a figure only reached twice during the entire 2012-13 season. Colorado last hit 50 percent in three straight games from Nov. 27-Dec. 4, 1998, current head coach Linda Lappe's freshman season.

ABOUT THE BUFFALOES:
No. 11 (AP)/17 (USAT) Colorado improved to 6-0, claiming its own Omni Hotels Classic championship last week, defeating South Alabama, 94-61, in the first game on Nov. 29 and then Rice, 75-58, in the championship game on Nov. 30.
Colorado is averaging 81.7 points per game while hitting a Pac-12 Conference best 47.6 percent from the field and 72.6 percent from the foul line. The Buffaloes are distributing the ball well, averaging 18.0 assists per outing, ranking third among league counterparts in the early portion of the season.
Colorado has six players averaging between 9.2 and 12.3 points per game and 10 pitching in at least five a contest.
The Buffaloes lead the Pac-12 in scoring defense at 58.5 points. Colorado also tops the league in scoring margin (+23.2 ppg), rebounding defense (30.7 rpg), rebounding margin (+12.5) and turnover margin (+2.5).

ABOUT THE COWGIRLS: Wyoming is 4-1 overall and coming off its lone loss of the season, an 82-78 decision at South Dakota on Nov. 30. The Cowgirls are averaging 75.6 points per game on 42 percent from the field, including 34 percent from 3-point range. Wyoming has hit the 70 point mark in all five games, with a season-high of 84 at home against Pepperdine on Nov. 23 (84-64). The Cowgirls are giving up 67 points per game on defense, allowing just under 40 percent from the field. Opponents have been able to out-rebound the Cowgirls by nearly three boards per game.
Nearly 63 percent of Wyoming's scoring comes from three players. Senior guard Fallon Lewis paces the Cowgirls in scoring at 16.6 points per game on a team-best 52 percent from the field. Junior forward Kayla Woodward is second on the team in scoring at 16.0 points while junior guard Kaitlyn Mileto is third at 14.8 points. Lewis and Woodward also grab the majority of Wyoming's rebounds as the duo are tied for the team lead at 7.4 per game apiece.
Joe Legerski is in his 11th season at Wyoming with a career record of 200-116.

THE SERIES:
This will be the 45th meeting between Colorado and Wyoming with the Buffaloes holding a commanding 35-9 series lead. The 35 wins over Wyoming are the most for CU over any nonconference opponent, and Wednesday's game will also tie the Colorado State series as the most played non-league matchup in Buffs' history.
Colorado has won the last three in the series, including a 68-59 win in Boulder on Nov. 28, 2012. The Buffaloes visit Laramie for the first time since their 70-58 triumph in the third round of the 2011 Postseason WNIT. Colorado's last regular season trip to Laramie also marks Wyoming's last win in the series, a 68-49 decision on Nov. 21, 2006. Colorado holds a 14-7 series lead in Laramie.
Linda Lappe is 2-0 against Wyoming as a head coach. Joe Legerski is 3-4 against Colorado.

And it's just about tipoff time. (The streaming is pretty good quality for me.)

Ugly game at the half. Buffs down 27-21, only shooting 26.7%, and have 10 or 11 turnovers. They're going to have to show another gear in the 2nd half to get a win. Note- in addition to Jen Reese, Ashley Wilson evidently also out tonight.

Been concerned about this one. Wyoming is decent and Laramie is a black hole for CU teams. Wake up Buffs

6 points is nothing. Take care of the ball, attack the basket, rebound and D up.

Now 35-32 Buffs after a 12 point run, A Wyoming basket, followed by a Huggins 3.

Tied with 52 seconds left. Like the guys (at last in the past), broadcasters saying Buffs having trouble with Wyoming now using a zone.

B. Wilson with a huge scramble and follow-up basket on a rebound to give the Buffs a 2 point edge

Miss by Wyoming on a 12 footer, followed by them fouling Kresl (one of our best free throw shooter). She makes both. Wyoming gets an offensive board and foul, makes both foul shots, Buffs by 2 with 11 seconds left. Timeout Buffs.

1 and 1. She makes the front end. Timeout Wyoming with 3 point Buff lead. (Note- Finally heard- Jen Reese is out with a concussion; Ashley Wilson with a shoulder.)

Escape!

No such thing as a bad road win. Especially true in WYO's building.

Wow - Huge free throws by Kresl and Sborov to kill it off.

Buffs score twice as many points in the second half as they did in the first. Wish my streaming would have worked so I could have watched the game.

Laramie is indeed a black hole for basketball teams from Boulder. Last season the men looked terrible there and I would suspect the women didn't play their best either, especially in the first half.

Hope Jen Reese is okay as her offense really makes a difference.

Buffs WIN!!! Thankfully we're good at free throws (10-11 tonight). Think that's at least the 2nd game (after the Iowa game) where that was one of the keys to the game. Going into tonight, they were shooting ~73%, pretty good for a college team.

Sborov 1-10 from field but seals it with FTs. Agree any road win in Laramie is a good win....
