Fox Sports 1 is not on the standard Dish package or the sports package. It's on the America's Top 200 package. That kind of pissed me off. I'll have to upgrade my package for a few months.
yes. that's annoying.
Before you do, I have Fox Sports 1 on my DISH service, and I will not be getting the game. Perhaps I was not clear, even if you upgrade, you still will not get the game, although you will get Fox Sports 1 for all the crap that is not a premium football game.
Are you able to access the stream through the PAC-12 web site as a subscriber?
Size of boat; motion of the ocean.
huh? how so?
The Fox Sports One site is showing that the game will be on in my area code on Dish.
Why would you have FS1 but not have access to the game? Totally not understanding
as far as I can tell, what lefty is saying is not true. So weird. Lefty, please explain. Real Mods, might want to change the thread title...
I'm flying in for this game, but it will be replayed on pac12 network in the 60 min. condensed version over the following week, and probably accessible online (not live).
I decided not to upgrade to the full 200 right now and just dvr the 60 min version later in the week. Agree it is annoying that FS1 is in the more expensive package, but with the home games being all available on pac12 later, might be able to avoid it at least for awhile. We'll see about basketball season though. One nice thing is that Dish is now full time HD for pac12 channel, that was seriously annoying last year to watch anything but live games.
This really sucks. I doesn't show the game as broadcasted, as mentioned, Friday night.
I will let DISH explain.
Lefty is right. I just checked my DISH guide for next Friday and it says "game unavailable." It says to go to http://www.dishsportsvalue.com/ for more info. At that site, it specifically says:
Sorry Lefty, just couldn't find it. That's some real bull****. And a new tactic as far as I can tell. How do you pull content when the channel is still paid for and on the carrier?
Don't you need top 200 anyway to get the Pac 12 network?
Well this seems to be the only option for me now. I wonder if I can confirm the stream is possible before the event starts?
So how does one go about this? Please type slowly, I am not techy.
Damn. One thing after the other.
I've got no idea. I was helping someone else would walk me through it.
Comcast sucks but at least I get to watch while they **** me.
Well ****. There goes the game party at my house. **** Fox.
You realize I was being contradictory, right...uh, I mean, left?
Seriously, this sucks. But I'm assuming that it is available on DirectTV and/or cable, etc. If that's the case, then I put JR in charge of finding us a place to watch it in H-town.
I'll see what I can do. The Houston CU chapter might be doing something.
If I can't stream, then I guess I am at a sports bar. If you and JR fly up, I'll buy you a beer.
So essentially we have a football free Fox Sports 1 on Dish.
Since 90 pct of the reason I have Dish is college football, I find this irksome.
I love the moral stand they're taking by being "unwilling to pass these costs on to our customers". They're also unwilling to eat that cost and deliver programming Dish customers thought they were paying for.
