CU football: Buffs set to pay Leavitt $500,000 a year

Leave it to Ringo to wrap the story around the context that he's the highest paid assistant coach in CU history. In the first place, it stands to reason that over time, new coordinators that get brought in get paid more than the guys they replaced. In the second place, he didn't bother to mention where JL stands in relation to the other assistant coaches in the converence and D-1 football. According to the link that Nik provided, there's over 70 guys that make at least $500K/Year. I didn't bother to look, but some of those are probably not coordinators. They're position coaches.

Ringo being Ringo, I guess. Lazy journalism at it's finest.

Exactly. Klemm is making $700k at UCLA as the OL coach (and ace recruiter)... for example.

Reading the interview with Leavitt from yesterday, I like the part about him getting "a gold crown" playing against our mighty Buffs back in the 70's.

Now he needs to come in here and get us a "gold crown" If you know what I am say'n?
