Matt Arnold or Brian Davidson?
Any reason to support one or the other?
Pretty similar platforms. Both are campaigning on reducing waste to make tuition more affordable. Davidson's a doctor who adds growing Anschutz to his agenda. Davidson seems to have more endorsements from others, including Bosley (who does the CURegent tweets and is pro-athletics -- Bolder Boulder founder).
I'm curious, does it make any difference what political party/affiliation a Regent has in regards to supporting CU athletics?
None at all. Historically, I think our democrat uni presidents have been a bit more pro-athletics. But I haven't seen a trend with regents.
Not sure where Arnold falls in regards to support for athletics, but it seems clear where he stands in regards to graduate level academics
Lord. OK. Now we know who to vote for. Arnold may be a great guy. He may be a smart or talented guy. I don't know. But that quote seals the fact that he has no business being on a university's board of regents.
Vote for Brian Davidson.
Yeah ... he don't need none of that fancy book-learnin'.
Oh ... and BTW, oral arguments in Ward Churchill's appeal to the Colo. S. Ct. took place yesterday. Wouldn't it be a hoot if David Lane could cite the presence on the board of a regent who fudged his academic credentials when at the same time they fired Wardo for fudging his academic work?
My inside source says the gov't dominated the oral arguments.
No surprise there ... Pat O'Rourke is a brilliant attorney.
