    This is state law, boys.

The Regents can only meet in regularly scheduled sessions, or in special sessions. In both cases, there must be public notice.

The only way they can meet "in private" is via Executive Session.

Wonder what the "specific legal matter" is...just heard the blowhard Brown on his show mention much the same thing about Missouri.

BTW, they're really using ****la's article as his "source" of CU threatening to go the MWC. Thanks a lot ****la - geez I hope Neill breaks out of normal box and blows are these f***ers out of the water with his article tomorrow.

I was thinking the same thing, show the Regents that people do care about athletics in colorado, and it should be taken seriously

Um, unless you want to cause a riot, this meeting will be done in private - public opinion will not be considered tonight.

You say that as if its a bad thing...

Actually you make a good point - there's not much to be gained by being there tonight. Flooding their e-mail boxes with respectful, well thought out messages prior to the meeting?? That might be a different story.

Their addresses can be found here.

    A couple of things:

    1. CU to Pac 16 must be done deal IF Nebraska leaves. No way regents meet to discuss unless Bohn has been given assurances. Good news.

    2. I ripped Mike Bohn / Dave Plati for not engaging in the war or words with Ken Starr and his Baylor counterparts. But it appears he handled this the right way -- Mike and Dave, well done.

    3. Now we've got to pray that Pac 16 splits itself into 4 pods versus 2 divisions. CU should be with Arizona schools plus Tech/Utah. This way, we avoid Texas/OU in our division and get to play more games in California/West Coast. I'm selfish and want better road trips.

I had to turn in my couch after they changed the laws in Boulder for outdoor furniture on porches after the 2001 Big XII Championship. Lol!

I have heard the "4 pod" discussion before.

How would they decide who plays in the conference championship game if there are 4 pods?

    Playoff?!!?

So four teams play 2 extra games (14 game season), and two teams play 3 extra games (15 game season)

Conference Semi-final ----> Conference final ----> BCS game

Seriously, this is the most encouraging news in days. The Regents need a majority vote to approve a conference move. They wouldn't be meeting without a very good reason.

Didn't the WAC try the pod thing right before their implosion became the MWC? Wasn't it still a divisional thing, but the divisions rotated with 4 teams in each pod so you'd play the same 3 teams every year, but then you'd play the 4 schools from a different pod in each year.
