TEMPE, Ariz. – The University of Colorado soccer team showed composure and determination as they tied Arizona State 2-2 in Friday’s double overtime road match.
Arizona State outshot Colorado 24-13, but free kicks were key to the Buffs’ offense. ASU was called for 15 fouls to CU’s seven (including five yellow cards to CU’s one).
The Buffaloes grabbed an early lead in the 18th minute when Madison Krauser struck one past ASU keeper Chandler Morris. That lead would hold until the final minute of the first half, as Kaitlyn Pavlovich, assisted by Blair Alderson, evened the score before the break.
