Buffalo Basics Camp
DAY CAMP ONLY
July 7-9, 2014

Ages 5-13
Recommended Skill Level: Novice
Cost: $260
PROVIDED: 9 sessions of skill instruction, supervision, box lunch daily.
DESCRIPTION: The Buff Basics camp is designed for the beginning player looking to learn or improve his or her skills. Campers will be divided into groups by age and skill level while learning appropriate movements and volleyball skills in a fun atmosphere. Whether you are new to the sport or just want a refresher course on basic skill in a pressure free environment, this camp is for you!

All Skills Day Camp

Recommended Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Cost: $385
PROVIDED: 15 sessions of skill instruction, supervision, box lunch daily.
DESCRIPTION: The All Skills camp covers all aspects of the game of volleyball with an emphasis on fundamentals. The techniques and skills taught in this camp are designed to provide a strong foundation that allows players to develop into high level athletes as they continue to play. All skills will be covered including passing, setting, hitting, defense, blocking, serving as well as offensive and defensive systems.

PROVIDED: 9 sessions of skill instruction, supervision, and meals in the CU Center for Community.
DESCRIPTION: This camp is designed to help athletes master their position and gain an advantage over their competition. This skill camp covers all aspects of a specific position. Coaches will take the time to break down every detail of the position. Not only will athletes have the opportunity to choose the position in which they train, but this camp is great for athletes who also want to train in a new position! The techniques and skills learned will help give athletes the confidence and knowledge needed to improve! Options include: setter, middle blocker, outside/right-side hitter, and libero. If the athlete would like to train in two positions, please indicate that when you register.

DESCRIPTION: This is an elite skills training camp. It is designed for the advanced player that has aspirations of playing high level collegiate volleyball in the future. The focus of training will be to prepare for the next level with drills and competition designed to refine techniques and enhance the overall level of the volleyball athlete. The world class coaching staff, cutting edge training techniques, and opportunity to compete against high level competition is only part of the fun. Campers will also have the opportunity to dig deep and experience Boulder with an outdoor adventure!

Campers will also have the opportunity to dig deep and experience Boulder with an outdoor adventure!

Cost $360 per athlete
Coach must submit $1,000 deposit to reserve your spot
PROVIDED: 12-15 sessions of skill instruction, supervision, team bonding activi*ties, lodging and meals in the CU Center for Community.
DESCRIPTION: A team camp like no other! This camp will help teams improve on all volleyball skill areas as well as team concepts such as serve receive, offensive and defensive strategies. We will offer multiple opportunities for team competition as well as offering significant team bonding activities to bring your team together to be ready for your high school season. Additionally, there will be chalk talk sessions for coach education from the CU Coaching staff. Campers will also have the opportunity to dig deep and experience Boulder with an outdoor adventure!

Additional Options
TRANSPORTATION: Pick-up and drop off to DIA airport - $50
ADDITIONAL LODGING: One additional night lodging in the dorms with one meal - $75
CANCELLATIONS:
No Refunds for cancellations after May 1st and a $100 admin fee for all cancellations prior to May 1st. All cancellations must be received in writing or faxed 24 hours prior to the beginning of camp.

  • ALL campers must register online. Written registrations and checks will not be accepted.
  • A $100 non-refundable deposit for each session is due when you register.
  • Any remaining balance will be charged to your credit card on July 1, 2014.
  • Any campers signing up after July 1st, 2014, will need to pay in full at the time of registration.
  • After receiving your on-line application, you will receive a confirmation letter detailing future information to come regarding check-in, parking, and the camp store.
  • CU employees, contact Natalie Dedin for information on a CU employee discount.
Health Care and Insurance:
All campers will be covered by a group accident policy provided by the camp at no cost. Camp insurance is secondary to the camper's primary personal insurance.
A certified athletic trainer will be on site at all times during camp hours.
What to Bring:
All campers should wear gym shorts, T-shirt, socks, gym shoes and ankle braces if necessary. Please leave all jewelry and valuables at home. A more detailed list of what to bring for overnight campers is included in our FAQ section.
Facilities:
Camp will be held in the Coors Events and Practice Facility, Coors Events Center main court, Balch Field House and the Kittredge Complex Sand Courts.
