BOULDER - Colorado's lacrosse team will return to action on Monday after over two weeks off when it hosts Marist at 3 p.m. at Kittredge Field.

The Buffaloes enter Monday's action 5-1 overall and on a three-game winning streak with wins over Marquette, James Madison and Central Connecticut. CU is led by a balanced scoring attack with five players scoring 10 or more goals. Cali Castagnola is the leader with 14, followed by Darby Kiernan with 12 and Carly Cox, Johnna Fusco and Sarah Lautman scoring 10 each. Paige Soenksen continues to be excellent in goal, posting an 8.79 goals-against average and playing every minute in the net this season. She is aided on defense by several players, led by Sarah Brown who has a team-best 13 caused turnovers.

Marist has two players carrying the load offensively. Allison Gionta has a team-high 25 goals, followed by Kara McHugh with 21; behind that, the next-highest goal total is six. Abigail Witczak has seen the majority of action in goal, posting a 10.94 GAA and .466 save percentage.

Monday will be staff appreciation day at Kittredge Field, featuring a staff game at halftime, among other festivities.

After giving up the 1st goal and almost the 2nd (waved off due to foul), it's been all Buffs as they take a an 11-1 lead into half time.

Good to see after missing the last game with injury, one of the Buffs leading scorers Fusco seems fine now, as she has a hat trick and at least one assist.

Kiernan also with a hat trick already..
 
19-4 is the final score.

Now it's off to the Midwest for the Buffs to play Northwestern and Michigan to finish off non- conference..
