BOULDER – The University of Colorado track and field team turned in a record setting day on Saturday at its own Colorado Invitational at Potts Field and were led by sophomore Ana Holland, whose first place finishing time of 11.63 in the 100-meter dash was the best performance in CU history.
“We had a good day, better than I was hoping for,” said head coach Mark Wetmore. “We had good excellent weather until maybe the last hour and a half when it got a little breezy. But it was a good day, good conditions and good performances. Overall all day long we had some real good results.”
Overall members of the team finished first in 16 events and had ten other top three finishes on the day.

“We had so many good things happen that it’s hard to focus on who was the best of the day,” Wetmore said. “It’s a real solid early April performance for us and now we start to head down to sea level and the big times, throws and jumps will start to come.”
