BOULDER —Colorado's nationally ranked cross country programs are ready to compete at the 2016 Pac-12 Conference Championships this Friday, October 28, in Tucson, Ariz., at Randolph North Golf Course.

The women will run a 6-kilometer course first at 9:30 a.m. PT, while the men (8k course) will follow at 10:30 a.m. PT. A short awards ceremony will follow the championships at 11:10 a.m. PT.

Live Video - NONE !?????! (Per article, "The championships will be broadcast tape-delayed on Pac-12 Network on October 31 at 6 p.m. PT/7 p.m. MT.".)

Live Results - NONE (directly!??????!!!!!) - Supposed to be available at some point through http://pac-12.com/cross-country/championships .
Assume available resources for informal live updates will probably include:
1) Twitter ( https://twitter.com/cubuffstrack , https://twitter.com/ArizonaTrack and/ or the #Pac12XC hashtag , along with possibly general running twitters like Flotrack (https://twitter.com/FloTrack ) will be the best way to get live updates.
2) Instagram might be another source for info (again via the #Pac12XC hashtag (???) or https://www.instagram.com/cubuffstrack/ , and
3) The U.S. Coaches' Association also has a good "results wall" that often accumulates reports and tweets from various sources. Looks like http://www.ustfccca.org/2016/10/featured/2016-national-results-wall-live-cross-country-updates should be the wall for this weekend's conference races.

Other race resources-
For any Buff and/ or cross country fans in the Tuscon area, meet info from host Arizona - http://sidearm.sites.s3.amazonaws.c.../2016_XC_Championships_Participant_Manual.pdf

It looks like it may push in to the 90's during the men's race (10 degrees warmer than the earlier women's race). Not easy to prepare for that training in Boulder in the fall. The other top teams in the Pac are Stanford, Oregon, Washington, and Utah, so hopefully the heat isn't an advantage for any of them.

Best wishes to the Buff teams on this conference championships-eve day!

A few written previews for those interested from various running sites-

Also, a couple podcasts-
Flotrack (Pac 12 discussion starts at ~8 minute mark through ~18.30, Buff men discussion at ~12 minutes leading into women's discussion) - http://www.flotrack.org/article/47769-on-the-run-cubs-cleveland-conference-weekend-ep-44
And, evidently an upcoming one by the Coaches' Association-

EDIT- Direct link to the coaches' association podcast (Pac 12 discussed 1st) - http://www.ustfccca.org/2016/10/podcasts/cross-country-u-podcast-7-di-conference-weekend

Finally, just want to make my annual rant that I can NOT believe the Pac 12 isn't showing (either on TV and/ or via stream) the Championships live. As one of the championship-iest of sports in the "Conference of Champions" (Think I counted Pac men's and women's teams winning ~9 out of the 20 D1 national championships awarded in the last decade), you'd think they'd respect the sport enough to show it live, especially since they evidently have some cameras there for next Monday evening's 1/2 hour "re-cap" shows. Instead, the conference is evidently conceding they can't match, in media skill, such "power" conferences as the Big West, Metro Atlantic, and Atlantic 10, all of whom (per http://www.ustfccca.org/infozone/broadcast-schedule.php ) are getting their championships streamed live one way or the other.

It was 83 in Boulder yesterday.

A winner before the race even starts. Congrats to Ms. Clark!

Edit- And congrats to Mr. Saarel!

(Still looks like a pretty close pack, as even the Buffs 7th runner is only ~4 seconds behind the leader.)

Sounds like it was a close race throughout but glad to see the Buffs dominate! Wish Clark could've beat the UW girl at the end but we'll take the team title!

Unofficially, the women place 7 runners in the top 16. If that holds, that is total dominance.

Even the Buff's 8th, 9th and 10th runners (who don't get counted towards any team points) finish strong at 25th, 37th and 51st!

women were, umm, good. so close to having a first place finisher too. Crushing team victory.

Pretty good result (and yes I'm under-selling it), especially considering the 2nd place team is the #2 ranked team in the country.
