    The CU football team and police department will square off against each other in a softball game, Saturday, 3 p.m. at the East Mapleton Ball Fields.

    Hopefully it goes better than the previous "ride along" program that I think the BDC used as inspiration for the headline of "CU football players spend more time in police cars than average students."

    we did this in 91 but played them in basketball at the Keg. trying to improve what was at best strained relations then too.
