I like going on here to laugh at all the stupid things the announcers in the booth say. I missed the first few weeks but I saw some gems from Hawkins during his announcing debut.

    4) "That might be a game-saving stop." - Dan Hawkins (via sctvman) with the game 13-6 CMU with 4:15 in the second quarter.

    5) "He's been so cold I think he was out getting a hot dog" - Dan Hawkins with two analogies that make no sense when put together. (via CK29)

They need to have one of those small windows in the corner of the screen showing Hawkins in the booth, kind of like when they have the person doing sign language. Any time he says something to the effect of "... when I coached ..." it should be required that he pause before the word "coach" and do air quotes with his fingers.

Four is pretty consistent with his fatalistic attitude towards winning and losing, heh.

Let's not forget the guy who said " HAVAII " every 5 seconds. Well, that and the worthless commentary from espn's andrews.

I agree. Her contribution via the web was top notch though.

I found the site and they do a very good job and it helps to see who we get stuck with on broadcasts.

seems like the sexual innuendo is part of this....a subgenre. no one, and i mean no one, is creepier/better at that than Jim Nantz doing golf. PGA event goes to 3 way playoff, Nantz: "i'm ready for some exciting 3 man action.....". :wow:
