This is a very kind way of saying Solomon will not be apart of this class. We were only going to accept 5 corners and we got verbals from 5 before Solomon decided. It doesn't matter how bad any of us, or him for that matter, want him to be a Buffalo. The grayshirt idea was a legitimate idea that would leave it in the hands of the coaches to decide if they want to do that.

As far as numbers. You can only sign 25 per class in every year up to a max of 85 total. If you only have 15 scholies to give because you have 70 players coming back. You can't sign 25 unless 10 are willing to grayshirt. Grayshirting is a good idea but it cuts into your recruiting for the next class.

We signed 22 last year. The coaches were hoping for 3 early enrollees. One of the reasons why we pushed for Taylor McNamara who is at OU right now. Only Norgard will count towards last year. With McCarntney grayshirting, we could only sign all together 27. One forward and one backwards and 25 left. The fact that we are at 26 suggests that our coaches expect someone not to make it in academically. If all make it in, one will have to grayshirt even if we lose 10 players due to quitting after the spring. You can only have 25 a class.
