The 6'7" small forward started all year for St. John's. He's from LA (Westchester H.S.). I don't know if CU would be in the mix or not. He had originally committed to USC before switching to St. John's.

He's citing family health issues as his reason to transfer. If he got the NCAA waiver for that reason and could avoid sitting out a year, he'd really need to be near LA with his new school.

Definitely need to watch this, because he could easily end up at a conference rival. Be great if CU had a shot, though.

Sometimes reasons given can be just excuses ... but if not Colorado is only about 2/3 of the way home for him. Also, CU has to be mindful of class size management. With three freshman this year and the likelihood of Miles red-shirting, that puts four in that class. If he were to sit out and then play (as would almost have to happen to meet his hardship reason), it would be five in that group. I think that this is a, very, very long shot. He would have to be pretty special.
