It sounds like we are down to three finalists for the CU HC job: Bieniemy, Embree, and McElwain. Since McElwain isn't a former Buff coach in any capacity and being merely a byproduct of 'Bama's success, I'm going to reduce it to just EB or JE here.

    Who is YOUR coach?

    Embree over EB for me.

But neither is my first choice.

Bienemy, so we can have both, plus go with the most aggressive and inspiring candidate

Either - they are the same to me, except Embree is taller.

"merely a byproduct of Alabama's success"?

success is always to be discounted in a coaching hire.

    EB because Embree comes too.
Embree is not a bad candidate though. We should feel lucky Calhoun is not going to be a Buff.

This will be a good measure of which side the fanbase is leaning towards and Bohn's staffers are reading this thread for sure.

does not matter. just hire one of them. I would have preferred neither being hired.

i'd would like to have seen more "out of the family" choices if the search is indeed down to Embree and EB. Seems parochial, amateurish.

not exactly like we're bidding on hot items here. yes, i know EB is on the way up....which is why i prefer him over jon.

My major issue as well. With so few BCS level jobs open, we should have been able to see more interest from BCS level coordinators. Just dissapointed it appears we had to settle.

I'm with Mick. I voted EB because his trajectory appears to be higher than Embree's, but I am disappointed our HC search devolved into a search for coaches with CU ties. I think our program just isn't as attractive as we think it is.

Voted EB, but don't care. If my choices are only EB, JE and McElwain, I'll take either of EB or JE.

Wow, this thread started out heavy on Embree, but now he only has 12%...

Completely agree. This whole "family" stuff is BS if Dorrell, Miles and Fitzgerald get credit for roaming through Boulder at some point in their careers. Assistant coaches are nomads. Most end up at dozens and dozens of different schools at some point or another.
