Classy dude, great attitude
Some people have claimed that they thought Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller made an intentionally dirty play when he tackled you with a horse-collar. Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman said after the game he felt "terrible" about the tackle and that the hit was "kind of the only thing he could have grabbed at the time." Do you think that Miller's hit was dirty?
RS: I don't think it was intentional when he did it initially. If he would have missed me, I would have scored a touchdown. I think he was just trying to keep me scoring. That's all there is to it.
Did anybody from the Texas A&M program ever reach out to talk to you about the play afterwards?
RS: No, I don't recall anybody apologizing. In football, you expect to get hurt and you can't go through it thinking nothing will happen to you. I don't expect any apologies.
Was there a reaction of feeling sorry for yourself a little after the injury?
RS: I don't ever feel that way. I'm still young and we'll see where I can go in the future.
I like the confidence....we definately can win 10 games next year and I hope the guys go out there to do exactly that....go out there and make Coach Hawk a Prophet
****braska fan has to come on and spew his BS on an article about a player from cu coming back from injury. What a ****ing POS fanbase.
Thanks for sparing those of us who've put the cornholes on ignore by not quoting.
yep, most obnoxious fan base even when they suck. **** them!
What did the Nebraska fan say? I don't see the quote.
It's in the comment section of the article.
Tim Griffin apparently likes the cut of my jib - he featured this question of mine in his chat the other day:
Brad (Denver, CO): Tim, Love the blog. I agree that Colorado is the sleeper team in the Big XII this year. Who on Colorado's road schedule do you think they have the best chance of upsetting (@ West Virginia, @ Texas, @ Oklahoma State)?
SportsNation Tim Griffin: Brad: All three games will be difficult and I expect the Buffs to whiff on all three. But this is how I'd rank them as far as chances
15 percent - Oklahoma State
10 percent - West Virginia
3 percent - Texas
My response, if allowed, would be:
"Tim: Given your overt, almost homoerotic, fondness for all things Texas, your "3% chance" of CU beating UT prediction does not surprise me. I am however troubled by your 10% prediction of CU beating West Virginia. Please check yourself into the nearest Austin mental health facility."
He's going to look like a fool when CU wins all 3! The Texas Cows are going down this year!
I love your enthusiasm, but the UT game will be far and away our toughest game of the year. They're positively loaded. I'd say we have a better chance of beating WVA than OSU, though. WVA without Pat White is vulnerable. They haven't had anybody else taking snaps for the last four years.
Why would anyone be upset with that? Hawk's record on the road is bad and to think cu would beat texas or oklahoma state on the road isn't far fetched. I think we can beat west virginia but outside of us cu fans, they don't buy into hawk's 10 win predictions or sunshine.
I was just kidding around mostly
I do think we beat Texas though
we cheat.
Simple... Kasa makes Colt wish he had gone to the NFL all day, our corners blanket their receivers, and Polk knocks shipley out of the game with a vicious hit that Burney takes back for the winning touchdown.
Oh, and DS will get an icing TD late in the fourth.
In essence: Turnovers.
It would be nice to get that gorilla off our backs...wait, did I say gorilla? :smile2:
Texas will have its best team since the 2005 team that won the national championship. Let's just hope the game goes a little better than either of the ones we played that year.
Especially the 2nd one. That is one game I can honestly say I will not freak out after the game.
Bull**** from the racist!! :smile2:
Um, the gorilla comment was for snowbuff and his girlfriend's roomate which he called a gorilla.
That's fine. I like to take those comments and start racism discussions on them. It's all about me, me, me. I'm done now.
87 - Any way you could squeeze a few more "I" or "me" in there?:smile2:
It's great to hear that Speedy is on the mend. He said all the right things in that interview, and set some big expectations for spring practice and the 2009 season.
Can't wait to see Rodney get show the nubs what he can do next year in Boulder.
Oh, A&M's Von Miller is on the bad guy list for his season ending horse tackle. That Aggie won't be very popular during his trip to Folsom.
The UT-CU game in Austin is Hawk's capstone game. If CU beats UT in Royal Memorial, then 13-24 is forgiven. But an other blow-out loss like the 08 Mizzou game or the 2005 CCG would spell and end to sizzle of Hawk's mNC aspirations. A signature win in Austin would be a huge step towards legitimacy, national respect, and that 10 win season we've been promised.
I have no logical reason - I just think we win
We actually could have stayed in the game against Texas last year if we hadn't kept shooting our feet off. Not saying we're going to go down to Austin and win, but I'm not expecting to get embarrassed.
