This is pretty much an impossible question but I am twitchy this morning waiting for ball to start and I was watching old highlights on the web and I wondered what was my favorite play of all time.

I don't have the depth of historical knowledge of some of you so give me your favorite plays and if you can either video or image from the play.

My number 2 is the Hagan to Flannigan (thanks DBT) pitch. That is a team with a ton of talent and confidence having a huge amount of fun.

But for a clear display of force and will I have to say Vickers sticking it to a Rammie to get in the end zone is my favorite. He was getting in the end zone, there was no stopping it. That is the kind of spirit I want to see every game every play but it will always be a rare moment for any team. Vickers never got the kudos he deserved in my opinion...that dude was tuff e'nuff to be a Buff for sure.

There are a lot. The Miracle in Michigan is certainly the most famous one. But the one that sticks in my memory was in Norman in 1989. Hagan takes the snap & runs left. He's stoned, but he manages to pitch the ball wwaaaaayyyyy up in the air for what seemed like an eternity. Some WR must have had a hellacious block on that play, because the ball fell right into the waiting arms of JJ, who just walked into the end zone, untouched.

My last play, I rocked an Iowa State lb on an Inside Zone, buried him in the turf. He didn't get up and the trainers had to get him during post game handshakes. He broke his arm or wrist.

I was just executing the block, he turned a bit to chase the runner(James "thrill" Hill I believe) and I drove him into the turf...it was 83% legal as a block!

of non-Mac era stuff, and not really "significant" re: the Big Picture and in the more recently, Klatt to Monteilh to beat KSU was a pretty good time.

Just giving you a hard time. It is Flannigan, not Falligan. And I was there!

    No fair going back!

That is one of my favorite plays, for sure. But the Miricle in Michigan can't be topped.

Another that popped into my head, how about Salaam's run against Iowa State to go over 2,000?

The awesome thing about this video is that you can see McCoy, our fourth best wide receiver ever at CU, during the celebration!

John "Bad Dude" Stearns and the fake punt against Houston in the Bluebonnet bowl. Crowder actually took a chance......

This game had so many big plays. While Okruh's D gave up some maddening option runs to El and Sproles, Strick's stick was all kinds of .
    allsome.

For entertainment value, this was a great game. Not the biggest or most important, although it was a fairly big game, it just had so many head-shaking, jaw droppers!

That game was pretty big. It decided the north that year and KSU came in ranked #13, while CU was unranked.

Lots of Chris Brown and Bobby Purify plays on my list. All from one Friday in 2001. A Dan Graham catch or two, too...

My top 2 would have to be the Hagan pitch at OU and the Hagan to Falligan downfield pitch, though. Pure greatness!

I don't know about favorite, but JJ Billingsly stuffing Marus Houston to beat CSU had all of the elements of a great play (2004?).

--A rivalry (I said it). Check.

--A former CU player who went to the "other side". Check.

--A single play on which the outcome of the entire game hinged. Check.

--A great freakin' defensive play highlighed by extreme violence with prejudice. Check!

Ummmmm, wait. I just tried to look for a recap of the game/play and everything I saw says that Billingsly stuffed Tristian Walker, not Marcus Houston. Am I remembering this incorrectly?

It has to be the Miracle in Michigan, that's a no-brainer. The last of play of the game, to win it, on the road against a ranked opponent.

The Vickers run that Buff95 posted where he ran over the lammie boy was pretty sweet!
