    Both the MWC and C-USA are trying so hard to be relevant. It's a shame the NCAA doesn't appear to care.

    Why should the NCAA care? In the big picture they aren't relevant and despite any re-alignments, gifts from the NCAA, etc. they are still not going to be relevant.

    Look at it this way. If CSU, Wyoming, UNM, and UNLV are the home games for the week, their total combined attendance will be less than a number of individual crowds in the SEC, the B10, etc.

    Why do teams in some conferences get more money individually that the entire conference payout for the MWC, because they have fans who want to watch them.

    We already make major college football subsidize womens sports, should the schools with significant revenues also now be responsible for subsidizing the schools whos fans don't care enough to support them in a competitive manner.
