Assuming we keep everyone committed, what's the final push look like: 3-4 more spots? Looks like we want 1 LB, 1 DB and then next best.

DL/DE - We have no DL/DE commits. Do we even plan on taking any? Not aware of anyone withstrong interest.
LB- 1 more. Hotchkins and Maka. Either one would be a great pickup. Not seeing anyone else with strong interest.
DB- 1 more. Burns, Bryant. Both seem like long shots.
    S - 0. Just no room.
    OL -Think we're done
RB - Think we're done here as well.
    WR- Think we're done
TE - Wish we'd target someone, but looks like we're done.

I'm worried that we're going to strike out on the JUCO OTs.

Coaches will look to add players from the JUCO ranks at QB, OT, DE, and LB.

Best available and agreed with the Juco's. Gotta find a OT and LB in the Juco ranks, if anything.

Need Hotchkins in the worst way.

He is so about Oregon that he even retweets T&F recruiting news from them along with just about anything else... ex-Oregon NFL players doing well, etc.

Agreed. We need a LB to come in and compete in the worst way.

I just keep looking at OT and thinking we may be in trouble if we strike out in the JUCO ranks.

Some predicting Maka to BYU. Going to need a push to get out of 70s nationally. I know this class might be smaller, but man 4 years in a row in 60s or 70s nationally is tough.

You can't look at recruiting ranks in a year with around 15 signees. You can look at star (or player rating) average, though. That's going to be the way to judge versus the rest of the Pac-12.

The way to judge this staff's recruiting will be to look at our record at the end of next season.

Agreed that the size of class matters, but last few years have also been poor. It is not an exact science obviously, some 2 and 3 star players go to NFL and some 4 and 5 star guys never see the field in college. But bye in large consistent talent wins, that should be the goal.

Washington State for example have had pretty consistent classes in the 50s nationally, not crazy good, but some good players. They have 2 4 star QB on the bench, while the 2 star guy may become future Heisman dark horse. Also, have a Biletnikoff Semi finalist who was a high ranked 4 star WR out of CA. Now they look like a young team that has turned the corner towards a consistent 7-9 win team going forward. Time will tell.

CU taking a step towards Wash St. or Cal would be a good first step. A program that recruiting wise is in the 30-50s nationally, and wins turn from 2-4 to 7-9 a season and could go up from there. Time will tell here also.
