Reading between the lines and the comments, it appears Embree and the staff did not instill confidence, did not put the players at ease, screamed at players and did not work on fundamentals.

I no longer wonder why we were 1-11. With a coaching staff as poor as Embree's, it gives me more hope for this year with a real staff the players seem to respond to and want to play for. This has me looking at the Kool Aid packet at least.
