Sorry, but some ram fan bringing up a referee **** up from 24 years ago doesn't have any bearing or relevance to how WSU lost a game in epic fashion. If he is saying both were unlikely scenarios then sure but that is where the comparison ends. More apt comparison would be us losing to KU when up by 28pts in the 4th quarter.
