Football Practice Report: Aug. 11 (Good news on Gillam)

Have coaches considered putting Awini in the slot? Seems like a natural fit there. Hell, as long as he doesn't get too big, you could try working him in to tight end.

He's a good enough athlete and smart enough that they could have put him at a number of positions. I saw him carry the ball as a QB at the AFA and he could be a difference maker on offense. Could have been a reciever, RB, even a QB specializing in running wildcat type of stuff.

The fact that they put him at LB says less about his ability to play offense and more about their concerns with the guys they have playing LB right now. Once LB is fixed then worry about playing him elsewhere.

Yeah. I think he should play a different position each year.
 
We need dudes that can hit and not give a **** if they hurt somebody. If he's 220 now and adapting to D, don't **** with it.
