CU Buffs look to sack critics - Boulder Daily Camera - The team isn't oblivious, they know where the media and fans of other schools think they're going to finish. But luckily for us, preseason predictions mean absolutely nothing...
"I think people are thinking the worst and they don't really know what we have," senior quarterback Tyler Hansen said. "We have a big group of seniors, a lot of returning starters coming back, we've been real close to being bowl eligible the last couple years. So I feel like we're going to surprise people. "We have a lot of playmakers on offense. Tyler Hansen during day 2 of Spring practice. Our line is great. Defensively, our line is pretty good and we've got to clean some stuff up in the secondary. And once we do that and figure out our special teams situation in camp, I think we're a solid team."

Biggins looks at committed Elite-11 QBs - Pac-12 Blog - ESPN
Shane Dillon (El Cajon, Calif./Christian) College: Colorado Dillon's decision to commit to the Buffs was a mild surprise because he had Ohio State as his leader for over a year. The Buckeyes had offered Dillon after he camped in Columbus prior to his junior season and looked to be in a good place, but worries of potential sanctions along with a great unofficial visit to Boulder sealed the deal for Colorado.

Preseason position reviews: Safety - College Football Nation Blog - ESPN
Colorado: Cornerback is a far bigger concern, but the Buffaloes had two NFL corners last season and they were terrible against the pass. That said, junior Ray Polk and senior Anthony Perkins, who's knee injury is often cited as a big reason the pass D stunk, are experienced and have skills, while Terrell Smith and Travis Sandersfeld have seen action.

Aaron in Lincoln, Neb., asked: Dave, have you played NCAA 12 yet? I know you already put Nebraska back in the Big XII since you miss us so much. DU: Yes and yes. (Left out the Buffs, though.) 11-team conferences, they work!

Who has the best group of big uglies of the Pac 12? - UW Dawg Pound
Colorado...Colorado is surprisingly solid across the offensive line. The Buff's return three starters led by Ryan Miller and Ethan Adkins who will be among the best guards in the conference. David Bakhtiari has started eleven games for the Buffalo's and Blake Behrens is a former starter. There is plenty of young depth behind these guys so Jon Embree is getting a bit of a gift and head start by inheriting this unit. Embree was able to steal a couple coveted lineman from UW at the last minute last season which foreshadows future recruiting success.
