Guess the Attendance: Washington State & Washington

I think there is truth that the attendance of the current year is a product of the previous year. I think the issue is that A. people don't care and no matter what they won't go because it's not as "cool" anymore. B. The advertising is lacking. It's no secret that people on allbuffs are probably some of the most passionate fans of this fanbase. When I woke up I texted people about the game and they had no idea we even had a game. Send out more emails have signs on campus for all the games not just $1 ticket games etc.
The rollover effect is real, but it's been more dramatic amongst the students. Freshmen heard the basketball team is "bad" and sophomores didn't renew after last year. Their level of knowledge doesn't go beyond that in many cases. Underclassmen are usually the bulk of the student section.

Students behind the basket were cheering and giving effort, from what I noticed at the game. As for the section perpendicular to the visitor bench, they may have been considered rowdy at a tennis match. Not much in terms of free throw distraction or chants when we had the ball.

The students sit most of the game now... Even the front row sits down at times. Fact.

Regression to the mean. No way we would have been able to maintain sold out crowds and full student sections. Like it or not but I bet our attendance is quite competetive in conference and nationwide.
