it suuuuuuuuuuucked...

Buffs get totally jobbed out of a strip of a caught ball that was returned for a TD which would of put CU up 28-7. Never know how Cal would have responded being down three TDs.

also ....

On 3rd down Goodson gets interfered with giving CU a 15 yd gain by penalty only to have the refs waive it off. The call was so ****ty it causes Mike Mac to go ballistic, get a 15 yd unsportsmanlike penalty backing CU up giving Cal the ball at mid-field.

**** happens. Good teams get past it and win.

Yeah. A couple calls went against us. Cal fans probably think they got hosed a couple times, too.

I was definitely pissed at those calls when they happened, but I'm more focused on all the plays the Buffs either made or didn't make that would have meant a win today.

so damn close ... so damn close .... my mind is playing many parts of the game over and over .... frustrating but at the same can't help but be encouraged-

Cal almost had double the penalty yards. The fumble was weird though

This is ridiculous. A few points. Cal got ****ed by the refs harder and with more frequency than we did. Also, ****ty teams don't get calls. Ever. Also, good teams playing ****ty teams never whine about the refs. The refs didnt decide this.

the fumble that wasn't was 7 points for CU.... CU lost by 3 .....I have watched that play over and over and it was a catch and fumble - CU got screwed

agree 100%

Meh . There were a lot of huge calls that went both ways last night. We left those 9 from fg. And left 14 with that over throw of spruce and that first dd Drop . We coulda put this game away at half

To say it sucked seems self-evident. To say it cost the game (not that you are making that point) is a joke. Like others said, it was ST and second half D that cost us the game.

CU sure hurt themselves. Agreed. Still think 28-7 Buffs changes the whole game,

There's just no excuse for that fumble to not have been a fumble, very very poor mechanics and that is consistent with the officials in this conference. It's embarrassing.

Someone should start a PAC12-wide campaign to call for the head of the head of officiating in the PAC12. They are horrible.

Liver is just trying to sound smarter than us "idots" who know and understand that there is a concerted effort by the NCAA, Pac12 and game officials to screw the Buffs. :sad2:

Larry probably likes close games that change leads and go into overtime more than correct calls that cause blowouts. The former are much more talked about.

Officiating has gotten so much more difficult in the last 20 to 30 years. Not only are the rules more complex, but scrutiny is way more widespread due to the improvements in video technology. We can now sit in our lounge chair watching our 55 inch high def TV and pause plays, watch in slow motion, have our own replays, etc.

The officials on the field have to make calls in real time and often from bad vantage points. It's tough for them and much easier for us to find fault. Of course, now they do have replay and that has made it much better. But there are still a lot of "non reviewable" calls that piss us off. What is really frustrating is when a call is reviewable and we fans see one thing but the official watching the video sees something different. Most often, it is a "not enough evidence to overturn" thing.

The most pivotal play I thought was all the missed tackles that lead to Lazko's 80 yard TD run. If they played fundamental football, we would've forced a kick and maybe even scored again. But that's playing a game of 'what-ifs'. This was a great game to watch as a fan...lots of ups and down, lead changes, OT, tons of offense. One of the best FBS games this year.

Then why is the Pac 12 notorious for bad officiating?

I didn't see the game so I can't speak to how bad the calls were. As it is, boo ****ing hoo. It's a road game, **** is gonna happen. Special teams flat killed us, kickoffs and easy missed fgs. That screwed it up imho. We had some lapses on D too, hope Tedric is ok btw, that hurt. This team needs to learn how to FINISH!
