Hawk Q and A

A Ph.D in psychology? What about philosophy?

He could never finish a PhD in Psychology much less one in philosophy...Sorry Dan, you can't B.S. your way through the dissertation. I would submit that the guy couldn't make it through one semester of doc level coursework because he is incapable of addressing a specific topic effectively.

tend to agree. grad school in something like psy or phil also requires you submit at times to different regimes of thought so you can learn and THEN critique them....it's not like undergrad where you can get away with writing "your opinion" or "take" on things. Dan is very much in the latter camp.

and what Dan does is a LONG way from what Philosophy is as an academic discipline. his is more like a 365-a-day Quotes from Feel Good Thinkers calendar....than Wittgenstein.

D II will be very disappointed...he was already working on a paper analyzing "Deep Thoughts, with Jack Handy".

I can see it now: DII is doing studio work and Joel Klatt is calling a game on the same network. Oh, please let this happen.
