From what the guys on the radio said, the receiver was at least wide open on the 3rd down call.

But yeah, that 2nd down call was absolutely horrible.

Problem is, cu once again squanders 10 points. Should have been 0-3 at the half. Then again, we come out in the 2nd half and our defense pulls a 360 degree turn-around and we get out scored 21-0? What happened to the defense?

Not to mention two separate QB sneaks with Cody on third downs. Come on.

I have tried to be patient with Helfrich, but it's time for a change.

C'mon, Helfrich rocks! What a great job of making half time adjustments to avoid scoring too many points. The whole coaching staff deserves to be ripped over this one. Unbelievable.

Hawkins needs to fire Helfrich yesterday. Also, maybe if our O-coordinator wasn't a former QB we might actually want to RUN THE FREAKING BALL.

Hawkins shouldnt've even been in the game. Why pull the QB in the middle of the drive?

That one pick aside, Hawkins has outplayed Hansen today.

Are the coaches aware that we have sucked at QB this year? Why in the hell are we throwing the ball 30+ times when we're having success on the ground. We only had our RBs touch the ball 19 times! Bull****.

Leave Helfrich in Aggieland. Have some other moron call the plays. This is disgusting.

if Helfrich is such an "ahead of the curve" guy he'll get another chance but he's been terrible for us this year.

At what point does Hawkins take over play-calling? He needs to.

Actually the athletic department needs to invest and spend some damn money on a real OC that can compete in the Big XII!

He needs to have the balls to fire the guys he brought in from Boise... I mean I love the Buffs, love Hawk. But let's look at it for what he is. The team doesn't have passion, they don't execute, they seem to give up. Let's face it, these players are wearing white gloves, and aren't buying the coaches' ketchup popsicle. Players aren't stupid, they know disgusting when they see it.

Not going to happen. I think his loyalty mirrors lubick and if that's the case, SOS.

If he cares more about his loyalty than his job, and I love Hawk--he is a super cool guy, but show his @$$ the door.

:yeahthat: CU didn't hire him to be the super cool coach. We hired him to win ball games.

People keep talking about getting guys back and 2009, that's great but this coaching staff gives nobody any hope that things will be much better.

Open the piggy bank and hire Tommy Bowden as OC. Make him the highest paid assistant in the Big 12 if you have to. He knows offense. Helfrich is a freaking moron.

Bowden has always had very productive offenses. I'm not sure six games this season override is record of top level O's.

We aren't going to get Bowden, but to be honest I'm just too pissed to think of someone else.

It's one thing not to give hansen all the reps in practice but to have him take the team down the field and THEN bring cody in is just assanine.

Stick with Hansen and get him ready for next year.

My dad doesn't follow Hawk like my brothers and I do. He was listening to the game with us. We waited to hear Hawk's postgame interview. My dad made a great point... He talks after the game like he just misplaced his keys. That pissed me off when my Dad who doesn't follow the Buffs other than watching them on Saturday, he noticed how lack luster Hawk is about critiquing his team. Pathetic

Perhaps Hawk has a different persona in the locker room....where he is kicking ass and taking names.

But it gets back to the point I made earlier this week. Where is the passion with this guy? Crap...even Barnett would go off on people...remember when he ripped into the sideline reporter going into halftime, when he was questioned (I cannot remember the details....I think it had to do with pulling Ochs...).
