We joke a lot about getting news and current events from allbuffs, but I gotta admit, when I hear about something going on, this is usually one of my first stops. We're a bunch of fairly (more or less) like minded folks and we're good about bringing events to the site, whether it's snow storms, local explosions, gas prices, crazy murder sprees, or even personal interest, we got it all! Also, I like that I have a couple of hundred eyes watching and reporting news I may not be exposed to due to content or publisher.

So true. And the key thing to understand about these beat reporters isn't that the "coolness" has much to do with how big of a national story the team they cover may be. The much bigger factor is the bennies that come with the beat. As soon as CU renovates the stadium and provides an amazing new press box with a great food spread, reporters will be fighting for the opportunity to cover CU.

Today had nada in the post on CU football or basketball. They did cover CSU and AFA. To me there is no excuse to not have something on the No. 1 state school every damned day. Henderson is just plain lazy. He puts minimal effort into his "beat."

The Utah as a rival thing is weird to me. We don't have one in the PAC yet so I'd agree its CSU by default.

Additionally, I don't know anyone from another PAC school that I trade barbs with. But, there are a lot of CSU fans that I do.
