Hirschman, canty,jones and creer...

The guy went 8/18 with under 4 yards per attempt while taking 3 sacks and botching a handoff, but you act like he's a finished product. In fact, you consistently think that the players already on the roster (including walk ons) are much better than they are. I don't know what you're comparing them to. Most of the older players on our team lack talent. Our young players have average talent for the Pac-12 and are learning. They still need to improve technique, strength and knowledge of our schemes before they're good players.

In fairness to Hirshman he had three really nice passes that were dropped, well two were dropped the other Thorton just whiffed on. There was the deep ball down the sideline to the most dissapointing player on the team, a 15-20 yard out to Gray and the previously mentioned one to Thorton deep down the middle. You are right about bigbang overating players though, he recently said that TE wasn't a big need recruiting wise because we'll have Alex Wood (who?) and some other walkon on the roster next year.

One of the good things about having to play the young players is the backside of experence...they are likely not so good that with a healthier core, you dont reshirt them later as you want to open up recruting for later classes. Bigger, faster, more talented classes. So now all these kids playing early not only gives them experience, but when the kids in high school look at the depth charts, there is just a little more seperation and a little bit better chance to play one year earlier.

Interesting and when did i say Alex Wood would be a superstar.

Hirsch looks good just needs a line and playing time... throws a nicer ball than Tyler
