As well as one of the finest basketball schools in the nation in KU, and some other great BB schools like Texas, OU and Mizzou... Which reached television markets like Denver, Dallas, Houston, Waco (hahahahah) Kansas City, St. Louis (yes...no?) and produced games of such national significance that they were frequently featured as the highlight games on national televised broadcasts... Fail? Seriously...how did the Big XII **** it away? Bad draw on the televsion contract renewal timing? Poor leadership? Selfish members? A combination of all? It just seems that it could have been positioned to be the next superconference rather than a bunch of rodents jumping off the ship. But whatever. I've always been in a West Coast frame of mind. It feels right to me.
