How good is Arizona this year?

Zona is traditionaly a basketball power, are they the same this year? Or are they down? If they are still a legit team, thats pretty exciting stuff that CU took them to OT.

I don't follow college basketball much, so thats why I'm wondering.

Tournament team. I'd be surprised if they won the PAC 10 or made the Sweet 16.

they made the sweet sixteen last year and have a good shot of making the tourney again this year. Wise was their best player last year and looks to be the best player they have again this year. As for Gonzaga, they lost a ton of players, (5 left I think) but it appears they have just reloaded and should be in the top 25 again after they win the tourney.

lotta talent and i like Sean Miller. however, they look like a team that could beat anyone on a given night and then turn around and lose to an inferior team.

still kinda weird without seeing Lute on the sideline.

During the game the announcers said Arizona looked like a AAU team that had just practiced together for the first time last weekend, and were playing their first real game together. There is a lot of talent on that team though.

if they can shoot 58% from beyond the arc in all their games, they'll beat a hell of a lot of teams by a hell of a lot more than they beat CU yesterday.

He hasn't been there for 3 seasons so it shouldn't be that much of a surprise.

Pac 10 is WAYY down this season, like exceptionally bad. Washington and Cal are the best teams, but they would be the 4th or 5th best team if they were in the Big 12. Arizona has as much of a chance as anyone, and also have a huge upside. They have talent just lack experience.

Gonzaga should be a 4th seeded team at the least. They have a tough schedule but that team is probably the most pure talented Gonzaga team ever. By next season that group could be a top 5 team in the nation.

I've followed arizona pretty closely over the years and they are definitely down this year. Wise was not their best player last year. Jordan Hill and Chase Budinger are playing in the nba now, and hill was the 8th player taken in the draft. Wise is good, but they are rebuilding now that Lute is gone. It was still a good effort by the Buffs though.
