11pm MT on a Thursday night in Honolulu against a team the Buffs beat 21-12 at home last season.

Last year in its opening 2 games, the Rainbow Warriors:

Game 1: Lost to Washington, 17-16. Huskies led 17-10 at half and were dominated in the 2nd half. Hawaii just couldn't score enough. Hawaii had a 26-19 lead in 1st downs and a 424 to 336 lead in yards.

Game 2: Lost to Oregon State, 38-30. Down 31-7 in 1st half and 38-7 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Hawaii dominated the 4th quarter, but couldn't close.

At CU, that 21-12 Hawaii loss was a 21-6 halftime lead with Hawaii again adjusting and stoning a Pac-12 opponent in the 2nd half.

Biggest changes for Hawaii in 2015 are in the trenches. Pretty much everyone returns at the offensive skill positions (including 2 QBs that may have been the starter if they'd been healthy) and the linebacking corp is stout. But the OL lost 4 starters and the DL may not have the bodies to form a 2-deep.

A P5 program should dominate a game like this at the LOS. But will CU be a team that can do that even with all the returning players and reinforcements that came in on its lines? Will CU be able to step up on the road against an opponent that regularly plays its best with a ton of pride and intensity at home? Is the wonky game time another issue -- we see a lot of upsets on Thursday nights?

Until we show we can consistently play well on the road, games like this are always going to be a bit dicey.

I'm worried about pretty much every game until The Buffs prove that I shouldn't be.

You can't trust this team on the road, regardless of opponent. This game would be a walk at home.

Both these. Although, I'll add that I'll be pretty disappointed if we drop this one.

Oh, I'd be more than disappointed. But I've kinda learned to expect that.

Agree with all the posts. We should win, but I am not certain of CSU nor UH.

Definitely concerned. Hawaii on the islands is just a completely different animal. And it's CU on the road. We haven't exactly put the road woes to bed. I expect a scrappy, close game.

I remember last year being jealous of their D coordinator, hoping JL gives us enough of a bump to win on the road. Team better show up.

Any slim bowl hopes we have say this game has to be a W. So yeah worried. My guess is we'll see a game similar to UMass last year that comes down to the end.

I'll enjoy being there regardless, but a third straight road victory for me and teets would be great.

Buffs win convincingly after somewhat of a slow start. Pound them in the second half with a found running game.

Worried, but since I still could've answered 1-4 in the poll, I chose 4.

Went with 4, but not confident really. There's just no way around it, we have to win that game.

I'm not worried at all. It's 3 months away. I don't worry until, oh, 2 weeks out. Then I'll start getting nervous with big, huge butterflies in my gut. At that point, this game will have me scared ****less. I wish I could scare Toby ****less.

Hawaii's Home wins since 2011 include:
2011: Colorado (3-10), UC Davis, New Mexico State (4-9), Tulane (2-11)
    2012: Lamar, UNLV (2-11), South Alabama (2-11)
    2013: Army (3-9)
2014: UNI (Won by just 3).

That is not a group that is anything less than reprehensible to join. What excuse is there if we lose this game? We have more talented players, we should have better coaches. CSU has beaten Hawaii every year they were in the conference, a loss would be a huge embarrassment in our long line of recent embarrassments.

I go with 5 because if it's anything else, then we have not improved.

Pretty concerned just because he looked so bad the first two weeks last year. Hopefully the team is more prepared from the get go this year.

Team will travel a couple of days early for this one. Staff is already very focused on this game.

Team will pay respects to the Peal Harbor memorial early in this trip. Good idea for anyone making the trip to the game.

I went with 3 but we'd be stupid to not be concerned with the track record the past few years. We should win because we have the better team.
