Ugh.. this again. The fuskers are not worth the respect of avoiding a color.

I agree. But I personally just can't wear red and not associate it with the Fuskers.

I almost talked trash to a guy at the icecream shop last night when he walked in with a redshirt. It was a kneejerk reaction but when he got close I saw a small Arizona logo on it and let it go. It's for the best really, the guy looked like a linebackers coach and wouldn't have had too much trouble with my aging ass...But still, best to avoid red entirely but certainly at this time of year.

I'll keep it off for sure on game days (us and them), and anytime I expect to run an errand to the Royal Drug.

Does the color "Burgandy" count as the same as red?

*Sigh* I have a red Taylormade golf bag. If I get to play on the CU course I better not hear someone run their mouth about the color, especially since I'm a season ticketholder and would have paid $80 for green fees.

Only during NU week would I consider red not a color to wear (and to games...but I'm always wearing gold anyway), otherwise the bugeaters aren't worth my time to go out of my wear and consciously think about not wearing red.

I understand how you all feel. The only time I will wear a gold or black shirt is when I know it is going to get beat up:lol:

To those saying it's not a big deal to wear red....see what you would do in this situation.

A former GF bought me a pretty cool looking nike dri-fit golf shirt that was red with white stripes that ran underneath the arm though the arm pit and down to the waist on both sides. I was playing in a tourney and was not near my golf bag (which is black and gold and I have CU head covers, take note NM Buff:smile2:) and some one came up to me and said "I like your shirt" and then started chatting me up about the ****ers. I looked at him like "what the **** man?" and Quickly said to him he had me pegged all wrong and that I'm a CU fan. Dude then made some typically smary pro knu remark and wondered off. I've not worn the shirt since.

Just saw the movie Funny People today. I thought it was a good movie and had some very funny parts.

Did Adam Sandler wear a red shirt?

EDIT: I just got the tie-in to the thread. Embarrassingly it was my own post. Stupid, stupid, oh god, stupid!

If you hadn't included the edit, I would have thought you had caught the connection, but decided to give me a hard time about straying from the original topic. It would have been a perfectly fine reply from the Walrus.

Not much slips past you. Except a nugget here or there.

I think what might have been lost in that story, was that the nugget actually made it's escape in the bathroom, and caught a free ride to the lobby (and then hung out for a while, unbeknownst to me).

Also, somebody expressed some incredulousness of the authenticity of the story. I'm meeting up with a friend in Boulder for the CSU game, that was there for that Springbreak and can verify that story. If we're invited to Sacky's tailgater (with beer donation, of course) I'll ask him to share.

I'm grateful that there's nobody to verify the bad date story, but sadly it's completely true.

Ah come on! You are now a bonafide member of the "Closet Fans for Nebraska Club".......feels good to finally come out. Doesn't it? :shakehands:

I bet you tape all those Husker games and watch them secretly alone at night, while wearing your special red shirt.

    GBR!

Agreed 100%, I don't even own a piece of red clothing, call me a fanatic, but the association of the color is all bad.

Does that include hot red headed ladies, or is there an exception to the rule?

Technically, the color of their hair is a copper-ish orange, not red.

I think we could make an exception to the rule. I like Cherry Garcia icecream too...

I don't wear red but not because of some respect for anybody. I don't wear red because it is such a ****ing ugly color to wear that I don't own any piece of clothing in that color. I mean really, who in their ****ing right mind would go to the store and want to buy the ugliest ****ing shirt you can find?

Red is in bounds on the 4th of July weekend and for Christmas festivities.

But other than that, I have no use for the color in my attire.

Seeing a woman wear red is an entirely different story as little red dress or a little red lingerie is a good thing.
