Then why do we have 2 on the Lombardi and Outland watch list, 2 on the Thorpe watch list, and now 1 on the Biletnikoff Watch List? And none of those are the newcomers that are adding more speed and size.

We sure have an aweful lot of guys on watch lists for some of the most prestigious individual awards in college football to be considered not very talented.

Have you ever seen how many people play college football? It is an honor to be on a list among the top 30 or 40 guys in the nation at your position.

Look I'm glad there are buffs on there, but there are 63 on the outland list, I haven't looked at the others...just sayin'. It's not a top 20, 30 or 50 list....

We also have 1 on the Rimington Trophy list for best center (3 of our o-linemen on watch lists).

Shakes head...fine we are stacked with talent Bama and SC would envy....

Fact of the matter is those pre-season watch lists are an honor, but I am just suggesting we look at them for what they are. A list of 60-75 guys who, if they have a great season, are on tap for a very prestigious award. The Remington list is 75 players long this year. Since there are 119 D1 teams, having some players on there is good, but not terribly uncommon among D1 teams. I'm hoping for a good season, if you just want to argue have at it....sorry to rain on the parade by merely stating the number of candidates on the list and that only one will win. I never thought that would be controversial.

Glad to see you're back in midseason form where everyone who disagrees with you is a ****ing idot. Props on the "sky is falling" reference too, allsome coming from you of all people.

Let's see these watch-listers administer a beat down of CSU on opening day.

Talent + Coaching + Facilities is the formula for success. Talent by itself does no good when it's riding the bench, or getting flagged, or not playing with passion.

Uh leash, we are coming off of our 4th straight losing season of 3 total wins and the first recruiting class ever ranked below CSU by Rivals and we still have the same coach. The sky isn't falling, it has crash landed in Boulder. Not many here have a problem with the talent level or the players. It is the coach that actually seems to neutralize the talent that we have that is the problem.

 Man, can you not say anything positive here? Why make this into a negative thing?

I missed your post. You too. Why not be several players are on national watch lists instead of trying to turn this around into a Hawkins bash?

Go back and read my other posts, I was positive, it is an honor to be on a preseason watch list. But the fact remains, it is a list of 60-75 other guys. What is negative about that? Are there not that many guys on there? Doesn't nearly every BCS team have multiple guys on the list? Pointing out the fact that the lists are pretty expansive is negative? Wow.

All I'm looking at is this post: "Look I'm glad there are buffs on there, but there are 63 on the outland list, I haven't looked at the others...just sayin'. It's not a top 20, 30 or 50 list...." Sorry. The thread is a positive on. A thread that brings up some positive points to consider. Yet you post, "Look I'm glad there are buffs on there, but there are 63 on the outland list, I haven't looked at the others...just sayin'. It's not a top 20, 30 or 50 list...." I mean, that seems pretty negative to me.

We've ****ing sucked **** through a straw for the past four seasons and I'm supposed to think that because a few are on a very long list, we're gonna have a Breakout year? What the **** has changed that would give any indication that things wont be a ****ing ****fest again?

god damn it leash a lot of us are cautiously optimistic about this season... but you start a thread IF WE DONT HAVE MUCH TALENT THEN... what the **** do you expect to happen... you are setting yourself up for a ****ing argument with anyone who disagrees with you... and to be honest if we had talent the last few years it hadnt shown its self.. so for people to be skeptical... it isnt exactly a stretch...

I'll repeat myself. Who here is talking about the ****ing season? All Leash did was give mention to players in the B&G that are being nominated for prestigious awards and did not give any implications that all this is going to translate into W's. We all already know Hawkins can't utilize talent for **** (at least up to this point). Calm down, child.

i would think that if the perceived negative posts were just ignored, there would not be any discussion on them, no further real/perceived negativite posts following them and things would just move right along in a more positive fashion.

but, that would suck. we all make a living on here bitching about things. i would bitch about your post but, i cant figure that **** out. confusing bastard.

well i don't really like your positively negative post either.... either you negatively evaluate your negative posts so that they become positive, or you positively stop being negative on your positive posts.

I BROUGHT UP THE SEASON...christ... leash acts like its irrational for people to be skeptical about the talent level and when people dont jump through for joy when someone makes it on a watch list... after whats happened.... i think its irrational not to be skeptical of the talent.... however i have drank the koolaid and and am pumped for the season and yes it is an honor to make the watch list.... and for the record... i never said it would translate into wins...
