Interesting thread from board with lots of expansion chatter

Don't kid yourself, LSU dominates the New Orleans market.

I'm not kidding myself. I know LSU and the Saints are the big attractions down there. But Tulane is attractive for much the same reason that CU is attractive to the Pac 10. Lots of TV sets.

fify. I've seen roaches on the Gulf Coast that could double for turtles...they get that big down there.

I'm sure you're right. I've never seen them myself, but I believe you. I think New Orleans is one of the most incredible cities in the US. Far and away different from any other city here.
 
Vegas, NYC and San Fran ain't too shabby, either.

They're all totally different places from New Orleans, though. SFO is NYC on the West Coast (albeit with it's own unique characteristics). Vegas is a tourist trap. As I've said on more than one occassion, New Orleans makes Las Vegas look like a church service. New Orleans is unlike any other place I've ever been to.
