Anyone playing any fun iOS/Android games these days on their smartphones or tablets? I'm one of those people who decided to go full time with mobile games since I believe it's the future of gaming. With the recent news that Apple will allow third party gamepads to work with iOS devices running iOS 7, I can imagine more people playing those games on their phones or tablets or mobile device connected to a TV.

I have been playing Sonic Dash quite a bit and have been enjoying it. It's similiar to the Temple Run games.

For SimCity lovers, this would be a good game besides SimCity Deluxe:

    Paradise Cove

    Jet Set Radio

Street Fighter IV. Like the more simple control layout but there are other fighting games that have more buttons.

Kindom Rush and Kingdom Rush Frontiers I think both on Android and iOS.

Real Racing 3 is great too, and the free to play acutally isn't terrible (it can be ignored)

And even at $20 it's getting top reviews. I might actually have to shell out for that and not wait for a sale on it.

+1 on megapolis. Most simcity like games suck because you can't do anything without spending a ton of money buying crap, but this game is good.

For the angry birds lovers: super stickman golf

    other games I liked:

    androminion
    mass effect infiltrator
    grand theft auto 3
    100 floors
    greedy spiders
    symphony of Eternity

This is one reason why I like the mobile gaming platform...JRPGs for le$$ although Square Enix is still charging $15.99 for Final Fantasy V (have I, II, and IV). It appears to me that the Japanese prefer mobile devices instead of home consoles these days.

minecraft is apparently the equivalent of v-crack to 7 year olds using their parents' tablets.

i've had to limit to one hour per week.

You guys are going to make fun of me but I don't get mine craft. I have it on my phone and played it twice. It makes no sense, you just add blocks for no reason.

i don't really enjoy it either but 7 year olds think it is the coolest thing evaaaaaaaaaaaar. and kid has built these amazing worlds with fortresses and tunnels and lakes and all kinds of stuff so i get why he likes it. still, one hour per week limit, because i don't care to hear about how he found "a rare freaking gem in a mine and had to avoid zombies to get it to his castle and isn't it awesome???" at dinner.

The OUYA console is out. Does anyone plan on getting that console? But I don't think you can do Google Play games on that thing.

    EDIT:

Mad Catz, known for their gaming accessories, have thrown its hat into the Android console business with Project M.O.J.O.: http://www.slashgear.com/mad-catz-p...g-console-aims-at-ouya-with-tegra-4-07285388/

Being able to play Google Play games on a console could be what propels Project M.O.J.O. to succeed. I'm skeptical of OUYA's success at this point unless there is a way to put the games you bought on Google Play on the OUYA console. Why buy the same game twice?

    http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/30/bluestacks-gamepop-console/

Bluestacks, the program that runs Android apps on Windows and OSX, is bringing out a console called GamePop. It will cost $129.99 and for $7.99 per month, you can access all free and paid games on that console.

I think out of the three, Mad Catz's console will most likely succeed.

    EDIT 2: http://m.joystiq.com/2013/06/14/mad-catzs-android-console-now-just-mojo-pulls-games-straight/

Confirmation of MOJO using stock Android and pulling games directly from the Google Play which is something that OUYA doesn't do at this point.

    http://gamestick.tv/news/cnet-playj...me-console-gets-set-to-take-on-ouya-hands-on/

Anyone know if GameStick will get games via Google Play store or not?

What level are you on? I just hit level 40 and I admit I have spent about at least $20.00 on the game.

    http://www.siliconera.com/2013/06/21/retro-jrpg-maker-moves-from-16-bit-rpgs-to-ps1-style-games/

It appears to me that JRPGs aren't quite as popular on the PS3/360 genernation of systems and I think the complex nature of those systems (should go away with the PS4/XBONE gen) have hurt JRPGs in general. The mobile platform appears to have been a place where JRPGs can thrive on. I think this is due to Japanese gamers being more mobile gamers than console gamers these days.

    http://www.engadget.com/2013/06/04/wikipad-launch-june-11/

Anyone have heard of the Wikipad? It's supposed to be Playstation Mobile Certified and should be one of those devices that will use the Sony Gaikai game streaming service early when it launches in 2014.

    EDIT: http://shield.nvidia.com/

Nvida's Project Shield appears very promising since you can play Android games and PC games when streamed over the internet.

    Update on the MOJO: http://www.techdiges...-on_mad_ca.html

It looks like the MOJO will go with Tegra 3 instead of the newer Tegra 4. Reason why I'm focusing on the MOJO is due to Google Play access out of the box.

It's inevitable that there will be Android desktops and laptops ready to play those Google Play games & apps.

Saw this at my GameStop...good for OUYA! You can't trust consoles with your credit cards these days.

Has any AllBuffers bought an OUYA yet? After seeing the prepaid card at GameStop last night, I'm now leaning towards getting an OUYA. If you go to OUYAForums.com (NASH79 is my username there), you can read about everything that the OUYA can do and can't do. You can "sideload" Google Play games but not all of them would work in this case.

Anyone play Neo Geo games? There are some Neo Geo game apps from SNK Playmore on both the iOS and Google Play store. I'm also thinking about getting the Neo Geo X system:http://www.amazon.com/NEOGEO-GOLD-L...UTF8&qid=1373752883&sr=8-1&keywords=Neo+Geo+X

I have Metal Slug and King of the Fighters-i on my iPhone, Metal Slug 1, 2, and 3 for Google Play but controlling Metal Slug sucks with touchscreen.

I have bought it but haven't played it yet. Would anyone know how it compares to other strategy games?
