Is Steve Marshall a good hire?

I'm hopeful - but remain cautious. His recent stops have not been good... has to be better than Denver Johnson tho

Cal perspective on Marshall

A few thoughts from a cal perspective.

First of all we are not a spread team, we have incorperated some elements of spread into our offense but coach JT runs a Pro-style offense.

Second, someone mentioned our lighter smaller offensive line. That was new for this year. All of our linemen LOST 10-15 Lbs during the offseason under Marshall, most underclassmen who we were expecting to ADD 10-15 Lbs. Many of us were weary but willing to see what this smaller, more nimble OL could do and ended up being very dissapointed. I am not sure whose idea that was but SM is taking the heat for it not working out.

In the past two years we have seen many of our young promising O-Linemen regress since Coach Michalczik left for the Raiders. This is what most people want him gone for.

As a Recruiter last year he did pretty well, As of this year we only have one OL recruit and his older brother is already on the team. In his defense the West Coast is thin on guys this year, recruiting isnt the problem.

I think this is like a coin flip for you all he does well some places and not so well but if you are looking for a long term guy to coach the OL I dunno if he is the right guy, he moves around a bunch!

Anyways good luck with him! Its rare when in a situation like this both teams are happy with the result

Thanks for the insight.

I, for one, welcome our new Cal overlords.

much better. if everyone would just follow your advice and take their orders from those of us residing in the great state of california, things would go much easier for you.

this, from a graduate of the academic powerhouse known as oklahoma.

cal guy came in politely with an observation and you stick a shiv in him. where are your manners?

"gang" is only half a word. You're not gonna like the next part of this initiation...

this doesn't mean we are going to spoon or anything, any time soon.

get me a whiskey, n00b.

Marshall was there when buffson played, however when he moved to OL Marhsall was gone. Before the 2001 B-12 Champ game one of the refs attended the same Sunday social club I was going to, when asked who he thought was going to win he quickly responded with Colorado, said they have the power and dominance up front. Not sure if it was our talent or coaching but I for one am happy to see Marshall back. Go Buffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Judging from our proximity to SF you might be wrong...

Sorry to make assumptions.

But I assure you, my assumption wasn't about sexual orientation, but rather I assumed most people prefer not to be raped.

Well if i consented and enjoyed it would that ruin it for you guys? I could always role play like i dont like it if that makes you guys feel more comfortable

I can only speak for myself when I say it wouldn't ruin it for me, but might diminish the experience slightly. Go ahead and do that "role play" thing you mentioned.

It turns out we do now.

Read the rest of the thread...

**** that! Not my damn fault your post was one of the last ones on page 1. I wasn't going to go to ****ing page 2 to read on then decide whether to go back to page 1 and quote you.

how do you know he'll never know. don't forget he's a sailor. he probably already knows what he'd never know.

I don't know what he knows, doesn't know or might know at some point. I do know that I don't want to know about Wally's gangbang experiences as a sailor.

just so it involved only consensual role-playing, i think the thread consensus seems to be "green light" rather than "red light."

maybe we should get wally and cally together?

Got to do something with the Junta bankroll. Maybe we can film it and sell it in the "specialty" market? Could pay for the Junta suite at Folsom next season.

it all started as a sports-themed message board. and then they branched out into porn and an empire was born.
