I'm reading all these posts, but am just too tired to respond anymore. This board needs CU to win 4 or 5 of the next 6 or 7. I hate to even contimplate reading the threads that would appear with more losses, starting on Saturday.

I wonder how much pressure Hawkins feels? I'm sure it is a huge burden on him, which it should be. The thing I worry more about is how much pressure the kids feel. Especially Cody. Cody must feel like he has to get it done for his dad. That has got to make it tough on him. :sad1:

I can't even think 6 or 7 games ahead any more. I'm just hoping I have a good time taking my dad to the Wyoming game. Last time I took him to a CU game was Nebraska '05. It couldn't get that bad again, right?

    dbt,

    a few things...

    1. CU is bigger than the coach. CU is the fans, the players, the boosters, the alums, the students, the whole university community. i was here before hawkins; i'll be here long after he's gone. i am sure he's under tremendous pressure and i feel bad for him, but it comes with the job. that's why he gets paid what he gets paid. if he can't get it done, then he needs to go.

    2. i feel bad for the players, too. especially cody. he's been put in a terrible position.

    3. this, too, shall pass. the program will survive all this noise. it always has. if chucky couldn't kill it, well, hawk ain't gonna kill it either.

it is just time for the staff to deliver. it happens.

If you'd read the Anthony Wright quote yesterday you'd realize that the players are feeling any pressure at all. According to Wright, nothing is going on out of the ordinary. This despite Hawk being #1 on the Coach's Hotseat.

I dont know about the rst of you but if I thought that my rice bowl was being ****ed with I would be feeling pressure...the idea of thinking that my current lifestyle would be dramatically altered would give me pause.

Well in fairness a mediocre season is less fun to post about than a complete dog**** of a season, probably much worse for the University's health in long run as well.

If we lose Saturday, I'm going to take a dump on a picture of Talkins and post it.

I feel really sorry for the current students who have to witness this pitiful downfall of CU football. My BEST CU football experience was during my freshman year in 2005.

Hawkins didn't appear at today's Buff Club luncheon.
    Darian Hagan spoke instead.

Maybe it was planned all along, but the ancient alumni at my table were mumbling about that not being right.

Hagan did a good job, though.

Thank you for saying this. Good lord, some people act we run a charity around here, not a revenue-generating athletic department. Why the hell should I feel bad for a guy who cannot effectively perform his job functions?

    That's weak.

Good exposure for Hagan, though. Hopefully he'll be kept on with the next staff.

I also wouldn't be surprised if D Scott transfers schools after this joke of a season, how many players have been drafted by the NFL under Hawkins?

You do have to take into consideration how many threads and posts there have been in the past week as well. It is hard to read one fourth of them, let alone all. And since when has allbuffs not talked about the same thing before?

    Bastard. :smile2:

Jordan Dizon, Terrence Wheatly, Mason Crosby, Brad Jones...

There's also Tyler Polumbus and George Hypolite who are playing, but were undrafted.

    Do these guys count?

Now we're going to shift into "Yeah, but they were Barnett guys, etc..." and ingnore the fact that there haven't been enough drafts to fairly evaluate players Hawkins recruited. I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord...
