During the P12 Tournament post-game pressers, Assistant Coach Jean Prioleau is getting more exposure. Following the Cal win, a video was posted in the locker-room where Boyle's comments were quick and he turned the floor over to JP to complete the post game debrief.

Last night coach JP was given the assignment to speak to Mark Johnson during the radio post-game segment.

I don't have a good feel for JP's expanding role as a mouthpiece for Boyle. It could be Boyle unselfishly developing JP by delegating to his assistant. It could be a realization that JP can reach this team in a way that he can't.

What are your thoughts on JP's role? Is he coming into his own? Is he being groomed to move on to bigger and better things? Is this business as usual or some short term deal caused by the logistics of the P12 tournament?

I just know that Tad is playing chess and is so many moves ahead of us. He has been around successful programs and knows how to win.

I personally think JP is being groomed but I think we find out that part of his plan in years.

Pri is ready to be a head coach.

If you see him or talk to him, he presents himself as very CEO-ish. (Rohn is like that too, btw.)

It is time for Pri to get his own program. Tad knows this and is doing what he can to help make that happen. That's all this is.

What kind of timetable should fans expect before Pri gets an opportunity to step up to an HC role? It would be nice for him to remain with CU next season, but I completely understand not holding somebody back for a promotion.

Is there a short list of programs that would be interested in him? Boyle is a branch of the Larry Brown and Mark Turgeon coaching tree. Coaching is a tight fraternity. It will be interesting to see where JP might end up and who his replacement might be.

They usually slide the assistants up a spot and hire a young guy.

I don't know how much stock to put in the post game interview. Mark Johnson said that during the p12 tourney head coaches were pretty limited in what they could do after games. I believe that coach A did the post game after USC - I may be wrong but I do know it wasn't tad.

Assuming the working relationship was good this year, I'd expect that Tad would promote Sean Kearney and look to promote someone into Kearney's "Director of Player Development" role (which was also Coach A's title in 2012-13).

I wonder where JP's next job might be? His resume prior to CU includes assistant coaching stints at TCU, Iowa State, Marquette, Wichita State, and his alma matter Fordham.

What is the best situation that is also realistic? PJ Carlesimo is HC over Fordham's MBB with a record of 10-21 and is in his early sixties. Would returning to Fordham and the Atlantic 10 conference be a good fit?

Could he realistically be hired as HC in a major conference like the P12 or B12 where he has a history? Or would there be an expectation that he must first prove his value in a minor conference?

Minor conference. Not common to walk into a power conference job with no head coaching experience, especially when you take away promotions in the same program.
