Jon Embree believes new kickoff rules could increase injuries

And he is right. I know we have not had a great kicker in a while but it is not too hard to boot the ball high up there. Plus college football players are fast athletes, they will still be at top speed on deep kicks with the loss of 5 yards. My question is how is this going to change on-side with only a 5 yard run up? I think its a serious advantage to the receiving team.
