Karma to SDSU's Dwayne Polee

Hope the young man will be okay. I can still remember when Hank Gathers of LMU collapsed on the court during a conference tournament game, and was essentially dead before he got to the hospital.

ESPN did show him wave (weakly obviously) at the crowd as he was taken out on the stretcher. Best wishes to him for a quick recovery.

That was scary. I pulled up the feed of that game online when it happened and I've never heard an arena that quiet.

He spent the night in the hospital “for observation,” but SDSU coach Steve Fisher said he was “alert and responsive” as he left the arena, even telling his teammates to “go win the game.” The Aztecs led 14-8 at the time, then held Riverside to three points for the remaining 11 minutes of the first half.
An SDSU spokesman said Polee is “resting at home” and “can resume normal everyday activity,” although he has not yet been cleared to practice or play basketball. That determination could takes days or weeks, depending on results from the preliminary round of tests and whether further tests are necessary.
Karma to the young man.
