BOULDER – University of Colorado women’s golf coach Anne Kelly has announced that Victoria Glenn will continue her education and play golf at CU.

“We are very excited about adding Tori Glenn to our roster next year,” Kelly said. “Tori is a young golfer, but has an amazing amount of talent and the work ethic to take advantage of her talent. She brings with her a lot of enthusiasm and excitement about attending CU and playing college golf. We certainly are looking forward to working with Tori and watching her college career take off.”

Glenn, a 5-foot-7 Castle Pines, Colo. native, will join fellow incoming freshmen Claudia Davis and Natalie Vivaldi, who signed National Letters of Intent in November.

A former state champion gymnast, Glenn turned to golf after a serious injury ended her gymnastics career after her freshman year. Glenn says that once she found golf, she also found a new direction in life, and the proof is in the numbers. In three varsity seasons with the Valor Christian women’s golf team, Glenn and the Eagles won three straight Colorado High School 4A Regional Championships and back-to-back 4A State Championships in her final two seasons.

In just her second season playing varsity golf, Glenn cut 20 strokes off her first year average. As a junior, she was named the Jefferson County MVP. She placed first individually in the Jeffco 4A League, had a top 10 performance at the state championship and earned seven first place finishes through 4A league and invitational play. She was also named first-team all-conference and a Valor Christian Champion of the Week.

She continued to improve in her senior season, recording top five finishes in all of her team’s 4A and 5A invitationals, including four first place finishes. She also earned her second Valor Christian Champion of the Week title.

Glenn also had strong performances in amateur tournaments in 2012. She came in second place at the RMJGT Tournament of Champions and won the match play round at the RMJGT Ryder Cup, both in Scottsdale, Ariz. She also received the RMJGT Sportsmanship of the Year Award in December 2012.

At her home course of The Ridge at Castle Pines North, she shot a personal best of 69, while her best round in competition was a 71 at the Poudre Invite at Timnath, Colo.’s Harmony Golf Club.

Glenn has also excelled in the classroom, as a summa cum laude her freshman year and magna cum laude her sophomore and junior years. She is also a member of the National Honors Society. At CU, she hopes to study integrative physiology in pursuit of a career in the medical industry.

Victoria Sheridan Glenn was born on December 13, 1994 in Littleton, Colo. Her parents are Geoff, the CEO of Three G Body and Paint Incorporated in Littleton, and Rolinda Glenn, an accountant. Glenn has one younger brother, Tanner, who currently attends Valor Christian. Glenn enjoys skiing, scuba diving, riding all-terrain vehicles, playing piano and traveling. She says an interesting fact about her is that her grandmother is Japanese. Though Glenn had contact with six other schools, she chose CU because she loves Boulder, felt welcomed by the team and comfortable that the coaching staff could take her game to a new level.
