Here are my keys for the Buffs season.

#1. Improved QB play. The Buffs have to at least get enough out of the QB position that will help keep the opposing QBs honest. IMO, if Cody starts then CU is in trouble. Hanson has more upside but has to reach that potential.

#2 Improved Oline play. The Buffs have talent and experience in the offensive line but last year never played as a cohesive unit.

#3 Pressure on the opposing QB. The last few years the lack of any real pressure on the QB allowed opposing QBs to pick apart the Buff defense. It does not matter how good your dbs are, they can only cover for a few seconds even at the pro level.

#4 Improved turnover margin. The Buffs have not been very opportunistic under "Hawk" . Colorado ranked 97th in turnover margin in 2009. Not good.

#5 Better intensity...I really do not have a good way of verbalizing this but CU took too many plays off last year. The team was inconsistent from series to series. Mental mistakes, whatever.

#6 Improved Special teams - you cannot survive on pathetic special teams play. Very seldom did CU "flip the field" by stellar Special teams play. Lets not even talk about FG kicking.

#7 Improved rushing - you cannot keep the pressure off your QB rushing for 88 yards a game.

There are a lot more things but if CU can improve in these areas they have a chance to have a decent season.

1)Improved oline play. Our oline was complete crap last year.
    2)Better special teams play.

If we are markedly improved in both of these areas, the buffs will look like a completely different team.

Sadly it will have to be a dramatic turn around in ALL 7 of your areas.... Which is sad that we have 7 areas that desperately need help

    1) change the locks in the visiting locker room so that they are locked from the outside, thus ensuring the opponent never makes the field.
    2) have us play in powderpuff games.
    3) for the players: steroids. for the fans: alcohol, and lots of it.

Special teams, O-line, Receivers, Backs, D-Line need to step things up. I think our linebackers and defensive backfields should be solid - they've had good coaching. Should be interesting this year.

One other key to the season: Hanson is named the starting QB and stays there all season long.

Easy chief, it's not like he's a key player or anything.
