Many of them didn't know the Colorado sprinter and hurdler but were touched by his brave fight with cancer. Two of MacIntosh's best friends, David Brewster and Erin Sanders, spent time in his room at his parents' home in Highlands Ranch marveling at all the medals, ribbons and trophies he won during his love affair with running and competition. MacIntosh died Thursday afternoon at Children's Hospital in Aurora surrounded by family and friends who never left his side after he was admitted Dec. 26 following a brain aneurysm. He was 23. MacIntosh is survived by his parents, Bill and Nancy, and his sister, Kendra. Funeral services will be announced at a later time. ... "
