BOULDER – The University of Colorado lacrosse program began its 2013 camp on Monday, July 8 and will continue through Thursday, July 11. Camp will run the week before the IWLCA West Coast Cup.

This is the first overnight summer camp the new program has hosted. Camp day sessions will focus on individual skill instruction as well as implementing these skills into larger team concepts, both offensively and defensively. Night sessions will focus on players implementing the skills learned throughout the day into full field game settings.

Players will be placed into groups based on age, skill and experience. It is the CU lacrosse staff’s goal to create a competitive and positive environment where players will be challenged, learn new skills to practice at home and will have fun!

A camp itinerary is listed below. For more information, please view the lacrosse camp homepage or contact coloradolaxcamps@colorado.edu.

Will be interesting to see with the amount of Lax talent in this state how the women's program does.

I'm excited about this program. Good move by our former AD and I also believe that Ceal tabbed the right coach with whom to start the program.

Let's get this going. No better time than now. Lacrosse has gone national. Don't have to only get all the best players from east coast prep schools anymore (but those kids love CU and come here, so it won't hurt to get some...).
