The first half was just plain awful. Hansen is good at running around, but he is young and his reads still aren't there at this point. I think Hansen has a great future ahead of himself, he just needs more time.

The second half was full of something the Buffs haven't had on offense in a while; confidence. Granted, Hawkins did have a lot of time to throw, but he actually made better reads, too. The passes he threw were more precise and had more zip as the game went on.

Not only did Hawkins gain confidence as the game went on, but so did the receivers! Patrick Williams looked more and more effective as the game went on, and he was practically the only receiver catching with his hands. (Now, if PWill and JFly can play an entire game...)

Scott played pretty well. You can tell that Scott is still suffering from injuries, but he toughed it out and made some plays (especially in the 2nd half) that really helped.

Jimmy Smith is pretty darn athletic. Originally, I thought the Buffs corner positions were going to be very weak this year. Although, they haven't consistently performed it's good to see guys (who aren't seniors) making an impact. Jalil, Chap'elle, and Jimmy Smith (maybe Burney) will be nice to have next year.

Special Teams are still awful. Aside from Josh Smith occassionally making sensational plays, the rest of the ST's are terrible. I haven't seen kickers this bad in A LONG TIME!!!! Eberhart wasn't good, but at least he made some, these guys make few.

The defense MUST be more consistent. Oklahoma State is going to be a lot more explosive.

Overall, I always have faith in the Buffs, even if it's a long shot (like this week). Oklahoma State will be extremely tough, the liklihood of CU winning is very slim. However, if the O-Line plays confident, Cody plays confident, the skill players play confident, exactly how they did last week, then that's helpful. The defense has got to make plays; GET TURNOVERS!!

Mainly, the special teams must find itself, I think someone is going to be let go at the end of the season.

For the record. Our corners and secondary in NCAA 09 are fantastic and that is with Burney. You can always rely on a pick late in the game or a bunch of swatted passes. Granted if you play in a zone then you will get rocked all game. They are only good in man coverage.

Our secondary will be even better with him back next year. Oh, and Chap'elle Brown makes a dam good run at the Heisman as a senior. Foreshadowing much?

Maybe this is a sign for our defenses to come, or maybe it's just a game. Take it or leave it.

Before people jump all over me, I know its just a video game...
